Drake Addresses Calling Kylie Jenner His ‘Side Piece’!

Drake reignites and then defuses those Kylie Jenner dating rumors.

Wednesday night on Instagram Live, the “God’s Plan” rapper jammed out to an unreleased collaboration between him and Future.

Per clips that have been circulating on social media, both musicians call the “Life of Kylie” star a “side piece.”

“Real ----, Kylie Jenner that’s a side piece / Yeah, I got 20 ------------’ Kylies,” they both say at different points of the song.

Drake also namedrops Kylie’s sister Kendall, and their friend Gigi Hadid.

However, Thursday on Instagram Story, Drake confirms that the track was recorded and scrapped a few years ago, and that Jenner is very much one of his “friends.”

“A song that [crew member OVO Mark] ran last night on [the Instagram account @nightowlsound] live set shouldn’t have been played. It’s a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after,” he wrote. “He was just going too deep in the drake/future catalogue. Last thing I’d want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to say that to start the day.”

Drake's statement

TMZ also pointed out that the tune was previewed on Future’s Snapchat back in 2018.

Last November, a People report said Drake and Kylie were hanging out “romantically” a month after she confirmed her split from boyfriend Travis Scott.

“[Drake] and Kylie have been spending time together recently,” a source told the magazine at the time. “They’ve been friends for a long time and Drake is very close to the family.”

However, a different insider said the two are “just friends,” while another source close to Kylie denied the dating rumors.

Additionally, an “E! News” insider said at the time, “Kylie and Drake are not romantic. They have always been good friends and have been hanging out more that Kylie is single and Drake is in town at his house in Calabasas. It’s a convenient friendship, but it’s strictly platonic.”
