Walmart Slammed for Selling ‘All Lives Matter’ Attire

Walmart is in hot water for selling “disgusting” third-party merchandise in its online stores.

On Tuesday, a social media user began circulating an image of a black T-shirt with red and white lettering that read “All Lives Matter,” as well as a baby onesie that said, “Blue Lives Matter.” These articles of clothing were sold by a company named Old Glory on Walmart Canada’s website.

Per a screenshot from TMZ, Walmart Canada also sold T-shirts that read, “Motorcycle Lives Matter,” “Irish Lives Matter,” and “Homeless Lives Matter.”

Needless to say, several Twitter users slammed the retailer for promoting messages that have been deemed as dismissive to the Black Lives Matter movement.

“Are you kidding me @WalmartCanada??? Disgusting. Do better,” one commenter exclaimed.

“Disgusting @WalmartCanada take this off of your racks,” another wrote.

In response to the above tweet, Walmart Canada wrote back, “This item is sold and shipped by a third party seller and is currently being looked into.”

Additionally, in an email to CP24.com on Monday evening, the company reiterated that these pieces of clothing are sold by a third party, but will it review the items.

“At Walmart Canada, we stand against any form of racism or discrimination. We promote listening, seeking to understand and embracing individual differences,” they said in a statement. “Today, our third-party marketplace has a number of items with variations on the phrase ‘lives matter.’ We will continue to review those items to ensure compliance with our terms and conditions.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, it appears Walmart Canada is no longer selling the “All Lives Matter” T-shirt but is still selling the “Blue Lives Matter” onesie.

However, as of the same time frame, it appears Walmart U.S. is selling the “All Lives Matter” T-shirt in various color schemes.
