‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Actress Galyn Görg Dead at 55

Galyn Görg, an actress known for playing Helena on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” has passed away at age 55.

On Thursday, Görg’s agent Sheila Legette told The Hollywood Reporter that Galyn died Tuesday at a hospital in Hawaii after battling cancer.

Legette says Görg passed away just one day before her birthday.

Görg, also a dancer, played the character of Nancy O’Reilly on three episodes of ABC’s “Twin Peaks” in 1990, and portrayed police detective Leora Maxwell on the 1994-95 Fox sci-fi drama “M.A.N.T.I.S.”

In 1996, she appeared on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” where her character KOs Will Smith in a boxing ring.

She also appeared on shows such as “The A-Team,” “Jake and the Fatman,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” “Lost,” “Parks and Recreation,” and “How to Get Away With Murder,” as well as films including 1992’s “Storyville” and 2018’s “The Wrong Friend.”

Per the outlet, Görg was not married and had no children.

Earlier this week, a GoFundMe page was set up to help pay for her funeral expenses. The page raised $4,949.

She will be missed.
