Ciara Filmed ‘Rooted’ Music Video TWO DAYS Before Giving Birth!

Pregnant or not, Ciara stays on the grind!

On Thursday, the singer released the music video for her new song with Ester Dean called “Rooted,” which celebrates the Black community through the tune’s lyrics and the clip’s visuals.

The “Goodies” songstress is visibly pregnant in the clip, and she revealed on Instagram that she shot the video a mere TWO DAYS before giving birth to her son, Win Harrison Wilson, on Thursday, July 23.

The 34-year-old added that the set included safety measures to prevent spread of the coronavirus.

“ATL bred I’m #Rooted. Shot this video 2 days before delivery, Covid style! Out now!” she wrote.

The meaningful video also features touching tributes to Black Americans like Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, who unjustly lost their lives to police brutality.

“To all my young Rosa’s and young Luther’s, keep marching. Don’t stop fighting for what you believe in,” Ciara wrote at the end of the video.

“To all my Black Queens and Kings, continue to plant and spread seeds of love, hope, and pride in your tribe. Everything you need to survive and thrive is rooted in you. Stay rooted,” she concluded.

A portion of the song’s proceeds will go to Grantmakers for Girls of Color, a philanthropic organization dedicated to cultivating investments in support of girls of color.

Ciara and husband Russell Wilson — who tied the knot in 2016 — welcomed daughter Sienna the following year. She also shares son Future Zahir Wilburn, 6, with her ex-fiancé.
