Kelly Preston Death Certificate Revealed

The death certificate of Kelly Preston, who passed away July 12 following a secret two-year battle with breast cancer, has been revealed.

On Tuesday, Us Weekly obtained a copy of her certificate, which says the “Jerry Maguire” actress died at her and husband John Travolta’s Clearwater, Florida, home at 11:46 a.m.

Preston’s body was then transferred to a nearby funeral home. She was later cremated at the Brooksville Crematory in Brooksville, Florida.

Last month, Travolta announced the devastating news on his Instagram page, adding that he will “be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother.”

“She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side,” he wrote. “Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered.”

It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.  My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.  But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. All my love, JT

Preston and Travolta’s daughter Ella, 20, also announced the heartbreaking news on her IG page, where she described her mother as “courageous, strong, beautiful and loving.”

“Anyone who is lucky enough to have known you or to have ever been in your presence will agree that you have a glow and a light that never ceases to shine and that makes anyone around you feel instantly happy,” Ella wrote. “Thank you for being there for me no matter what.”

The couple — who tied the knot in 1991 — shared son Benjamin, 9. They were also parents to son Jett, who passed away in 2009 at age 16 after suffering a seizure.

Last month, an Us Weekly source said Preston was the “rock, the heart and soul who kept the family united.”

“Ella and Kelly were best friends and inseparable, and of course Benjamin worshiped his mom,” the insider added.

The source also said Preston and Travolta “were true partners,” and says that the actor is “devastated” over his wife’s passing.

Though “they’re being strong,” the family “can’t imagine life without her.”

Our condolences go out to the Preston and Travolta families for their loss.
