Whether on the red carpet or at home, Zendaya ALWAYS serves lewks!
On Wednesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the actress — who earned an Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmy nomination for her role in “Euphoria” — said she still wants to look stylish for the virtual ceremony.
“I want to dress up,” the 23-year-old told guest host Ben Platt. “I do want to dress up. I still want to have the experience.”
Though the award show will not have a traditional red carpet due to the coronavirus pandemic, the former Disney star plans to have a fashion moment in the comfort of her own home.
“It’ll be... probably just my family over here,” she said, “but I definitely want to pull a look and maybe just walk my living room carpet.”
She added, “It’s different for sure, but I’m grateful either way.”
Last month, it was revealed that the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” star snagged her first-ever Emmy nomination for her portrayal of a teen drug addict in the acclaimed HBO show.
Zendaya is up against Jennifer Aniston (“The Morning Show”), Laura Linney (“Ozark”), Olivia Colman (“The Crown”), Sandra Oh (“Killing Eve”), and Jodie Comer (“Killing Eve”) — who took home the trophy last year.
Back in June, it was announced that Jimmy Kimmel will host the 72nd Emmy Awards, and serve as an executive producer.
“I don’t know where we will do this or how we will do this or even why we are doing this, but we are doing it and I am hosting it,” Kimmel, who also hosted the 64th and 68th ceremonies, said in a statement.
The Emmys are set to air Sunday, September 20, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
