Dr. Dre’s Estranged Wife Wants $2M a Month in Temporary Spousal Support

Dr. Dre’s divorce from estranged wife Nicole Young is getting contentious.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ on Thursday, Young is asking the rapper/producer for $1,936,399 a month in temporary spousal support and $5 million in lawyer fees.

However, sources close to the mogul say Dre is going to push back, as Young’s lifestyle has not reportedly changed since she filed for divorce in June.

Insiders say Young is still living in the couple’s Malibu house and has access to all of their cars, personal chefs, and other luxuries.

On the other hand, sources say Young will argue that she does not want to depend on Dre for finances, which is why she will need temporary support.

Young filed for divorce on June 29, citing irreconcilable differences.

Though sources at the time said the couple did not have a prenup, TMZ reported the next month that they did have a prenuptial agreement prior to tying the knot on May 25, 1996.

In August, TMZ reported that Young filed documents alleging that she was forced to sign the prenup. She claims that two years into their marriage, Dre expressed regret for allegedly making her sign, and tore up the prenup right in front of her.

However, Dre denies ever tearing up the agreement, and wants it enforced during their divorce proceedings.

Dre and Young share two adult children together: son Truice, 23, and daughter Truly, 19.

Dre is also dad to four other kids: daughters Tyra Young and La Tanya Danielle Young, as well as sons Marcel and Curtis, from previous relationships. Sadly, son Andre Young Jr. passed away in 2008 at age 20.

Young is a lawyer who was previously married to NBA player Sedale Threatt.

According to Forbes in June 2019, Dre’s estimated net worth is reported to be $800 million.
