After the sultry snaps went viral, Ms. Henson’s famous friends couldn’t contain their excitement!

“Wow wow. Wow,” wrote La La Anthony.

“50 where? Go off Queen!,” said Leela James.

“Werk,” said our friend Tisha Campbell.

Earlier this month, Taraji turned 50 and celebrated on a yacht with her girlfriends.

“Go off shawty it’s ya BIRFDAY,” she wrote at the time.

As seen on Instagram Story, Taraji was seen getting her groove on and downing shots with pals such as Angie Martinez and singer Mary J. Blige.

In July, it was announced that an “Empire” spinoff, centered around Taraji’s character Cookie, is in the works at Fox.

The untitled show is the first project to stem from Taraji’s two-year first-look deal with 20th Century-Fox TV, and from her production company, TPH Entertainment.

“I believe that normalizing stories around stigmatizing matters will make them more palatable for audiences to embrace,” Taraji said in a statement about her exciting new deal. “Art can change perception and I plan to develop projects that can help further the conversation. I also aim to help cultivate and establish new young talent and their stories because they are our future and deserve a voice and a platform to be heard. I’m so excited to have 20th, led by the talented Carolyn Cassidy, support me in this new endeavor!”

The series will be written and showrun by Danny Strong, who co-created “Empire” with Lee Daniels, as well as series writers Yolanda Lawrence and Stacy A. Littlejohn.

Sanaa Hamri is attached to direct, while Taraji will executive produce alongside Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer and Samie Falvey, as well as Strong, Daniels, Littlejohn, Lawrence, and Hamri.

Though plot details are under wrap, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the spinoff will follow Cookie as she moves to Los Angeles and potentially feature some of her family members.
