From “All About That Bass” to all about that baby!
On Wednesday’s episode of “Today,” Meghan Trainor and husband Daryl Sabara revealed to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that they are expecting their first child.
“We’re pregnant!” the “Spy Kids” actor revealed.
“We’re so excited we couldn’t sleep,” the “No” musician added. “We’ve been waiting for so long. I was thinking about who do we tell first and I’ve told Hoda since I was 19, going to the ’Today’ show, ‘I will have the most babies in the world.’”
“Every time I see you, I’m like, it’s going to happen — and it finally happened!”
After the exciting news broke, Trainor posted an ultrasound of her and Sabara’s bundle of joy.
“You all know how long I’ve wanted this!!!!” she wrote on Instagram. ”@darylsabara and I are so beyond happy and excited to meet this little cutie early next year! WE’RE PREGNANTTTTT!!!”
Trainor and Sabara tied the knot in December 2018 in an intimate backyard wedding.
The two began dating two years earlier after they were set up by mutual friend Chloë Grace Moretz.
Of course, Trainor has been extremely vocal about wanting to become a mother.
In a January 2019 interview with People, the Grammy winner told the outlet, “If we could do it how we want to, we’d be, like, totally preggo right now!”
“We’re ready to rumble. I want some children! I want kids! We’re both so excited for it,” she continued. “We both constantly watch baby YouTube videos and lessons on YouTube, like ‘How to take care of an infant.’ We’re just getting prepared every single day.”
Months later in October, Trainor revealed to “E! News” that she wants triplets!
“I want to get it all done at one time and be like, pop them in there. You know what I’m saying? Let’s knock it out. Let’s do it at once. You and me. I want twins or triplets. I want a doctor to put them in, you know?”
Congratulations to Meghan and Daryl on their exciting announcement!
