John Cena has officially found his tag-team partner.
On Wednesday, PWInsider broke the news that the WWE wrestler and longtime girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh got married Monday in Tampa, Florida.
TMZ later confirmed that the couple obtained a marriage certificate earlier this month in the Sunshine State.
The “Blockers” actor and the product manager began dating in early 2019 after Cena’s split from fellow wrestler Nikki Bella.
In July 2019, TMZ posted pictures of Cena and Shariatzadeh kissing at Ocean Prime restaurant in Tampa.
Per the outlet, they ordered steak, potatoes, salad, a bottle of wine, and a chocolate dessert, and were at the table for four hours.
TMZ also reports that Shariatzadeh was born in Iran but is a Canadian citizen and works at tech company Avigilon in Vancouver.
Additionally, “E! News” says Shariatzadeh earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia in electrical and electronics engineering.
“I have always enjoyed math and physics. My brother studied engineering in school, and I remember one day he came home with a project and it was an autonomous car — and that was it!” she said in an interview with Avigilon.
“I decided to study Engineering. I was lucky to meet a mentor early on in my career who told me about product management, which was the perfect balance of technical, business and people skills for me.”
When asked to name a woman who she looks up to, Shariatzadeh said her mother.
“The strongest and most hard-working woman I know is my mother. The biggest lesson she taught me was to be independent and fight for the things I want in life. She is a surgeon who worked day and night so we could have a good life,” she said.
“While she was at the peak of her career, she gave it all up to move her family to Canada to give us a better future. She is the reason I fight to be the best version of myself, to be kind and to never give up — because, despite all the hardship, she always smiled. She is my hero.”
Cena was previously married to Elizabeth Huberdeau from 2009 to 2012.
Congratulations to John and Shay on their nuptials!
