Kanye West Surprises Wife Kim Kardashian with Lifelike Hologram of Her Late Father

Kanye West gave wife Kim Kardashian the most meaningful gift for her 40th birthday.

Thursday on Instagram, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star revealed that her husband organized a video where a lifelike hologram of her late father Robert Kardashian Sr. delivered a heartfelt message.

“Hologram from Heaven,” the SKIMS designer captioned the video. “For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad.”

In the touching clip, the hologram tells Kim, “You’re 40 and all grown up. You look beautiful, just like when you were a little girl. I watch over you and your sisters and brother — and the kids — every day.”

At one point, the hologram dances to Barry Mann’s “Who Put the Bomp,” a song that Robert Sr. used to play “in my tiny Mercedes” when he drove Kim to school.

“I am so proud of the woman that you’ve become, Kimberly, and all that you’ve accomplished,” the hologram continued. “But most impressive is your commitment to become a lawyer and carry on my legacy. It’s a long and a hard road, but it’s worth it, and I’m with you every step of the way.

“Keep doing what you’re doing, Kimberly. You are a beautiful soul,” it added. “Know that I am very proud of you and that I am always with you.”

Noting that the hologram is “so lifelike,” Kim said she and her loved ones “watched [the hologram] over and over, filled with lots [of] tears and emotion.”

“I can’t even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom and closest friends to experience together. Thank you so much Kanye for this memory that will last a lifetime,” she wrote.

Per “E! News,” Kim watched the hologram while on vacation on a private island, reportedly identified by Page Six as Tetiaroa Atoll in Tahiti.

Earlier this week, Kim announced that all attendees underwent multiple health screenings and quarantined for two weeks prior to the luxe vacation.

Though many social media users slammed the trip as “tone deaf” and insensitive to those affected by COVID-19, Kim’s younger sister Khloé defended the getaway, telling Ellen DeGeneres, “It’s her 40th. This is something that she wanted to do for us. It was such a nice thing.”

Robert Sr., a lawyer who famously defended friend O.J. Simpson during Simpson’s 1995 murder trial, married Kris Jenner in 1978 and they shared four children together, including Kourtney and Rob Kardashian. They divorced in 1991.

Robert Sr. passed away from esophageal cancer in September 2003 at age 59.
