Lamar Odom & Sabrina Parr End Engagement

Less than a year after announcing their engagement, Lamar Odom and Sabrina Parr are going their separate ways.

In an Instagram Story posted Wednesday, Parr, a health and life coach, announced that she and the NBA player have split, and appears to imply that she broke off the engagement.

"Y'all know I'm honest and transparent so I have to be the first to let you guys know that I am no longer engaged to Lamar," she wrote. "This has been a difficult decision for me to make but it is the best for myself and my children."

The personal trainer adds that the athlete “has some things” he needs to work through and is currently seeking “the help he so desperate needs.”

“Lamar has some things that he alone has to work through,” she wrote. “I love him dearly but I am no longer able to be by his side while he seeks the help he so desperately needs. I wish him all the best and I am asking that you pray for everyone involved.”

Sabrina Parr's Statement

Last November, Odom popped the question to Parr at Prime 112 restaurant in Miami Beach.

“Introducing my new fiancé!! Soon to be Mrs. Parr-Odom,” the athlete captioned a since-deleted pic on Instagram. “She the ONE!!!!”

Months before this, the couple appeared on “The Real” and discussed their wedding plans.

“If I had a ring, I probably would have asked her to marry me right now,” Odom said on our show.

“He asked me early on if he asked to marry me now, would I say yes. And I said, ‘Sure, but we wouldn’t set a date for anything.’ I don’t date with the intention of not getting married,” Parr added. “So if I’m going to be doing this and it’s public, we’re really going to be serious about this.”

Back in October 2015, Odom, who was previously married to Khloé Kardashian, was hospitalized after he was found unconscious at the Love Ranch, a legal brothel in Crystal, Nevada. The incident left him with ruptured kidneys, collapsed lungs, and a heart that stopped twice.

After Odom and Parr’s engagement news went viral, an “E! News” source said, “Khloé wants Lamar to be happy. She has always had hope that he would find his way and live a long and healthy life.”

"She's happy for him if he has found happiness again,” the insider continued. “The chapter of her life that she shared with Lamar is closed and she has moved on. She harbors no ill will or jealousy."

Odom and Parr first sparked romance rumors August 2019 when they were spotted kissing in Atlanta.
