Missy Elliott comes to the rescue of a deserving bride-to-be.
Tuesday on social media, Twitter user @mynamesireanna from Fayetteville, North Carolina, revealed that she is getting married in March and found her “dream dress” — a gorgeous Galina Signature gown with swag sleeves that retails at David’s Bridal for $1,299.
However, because she is also in the process of moving into a new place, the woman does not believe she can afford the dress.
“Im getting Married in March &trying to move into our own place. Excited but overwhelmed. I have been saving money; but its still a struggle. I found my dream dress and I want to get it so bad but between saving for the move- i dnt think it will be possible.....” she wrote.
She also posted a link to a payment service, asking Twitter users for their support.
“I never thought Id find a love like this and never thought someone would want to marry me,” she continued. “With all my previous insecurities- i didnt think i was worthy of love. Loving myself made me ready for love. I would be so grateful to have some support.”
That’s when the “Work It” MC commented, “Early Congratulations. May God Bless you both with an Unbreakable Union and full of Love & Happiness.”
Noting that she was “speechless,” the social media user thanked Missy for her kind words — and even extended an invite to her nuptials!
Though Missy did not say whether or not she would attend, she did end up paying for the woman’s wedding dress!
“Your Dress is paid for now,” Missy wrote. “I don’t know you but I saw you said the dress of your dreams & figured I would help when I saw you post ya cash app. May Blessings pour on your Beautiful Wedding Day with your Future husband.”
