Congratulations are in order for Victoria Monét and John Gaines!
Saturday on Instagram, the “Monopoly” singer announced she is expecting her first child by posting pictures of her maternity photo shoot.
Dressed in a goddess costume comprising a jeweled headpiece, a glittering top, and a long draped skirt, the 27-year-old serves face as she shows off her beautiful baby bump.
“I’m so happy to share that I’ve been promoted to the title just above Queen...Mom,” the musician wrote. “Two hearts beat inside of me now... That’s more love. Two brains and two souls...that’s so much power. Really been feelin like the ultra super Victoria cause my body is doing such miraculous work. This is absolutely the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can’t wait to meet my tiny soul mate earth side!!!”
Monét — who has co-written songs for Ariana Grande and Fifth Harmony — also shared a heartfelt letter she wrote to her unborn child.
“To my baby, I thank you for choosing me as your mommy!” she began the touching note.
The next day, Monét posted a sweet video of her and Gaines in which the soon-to-be parents embrace in a picturesque field.
“My best collaboration yet..due to drop Valentine’s Day 2021,” she said.
“@gainsbygaines we love you so much daddi!!! You’re gonna be such an amazingly loving, extremely funny, protective (in the best ways) dad! I can’t wait for a lifetime of family moments with you…”
In 2019, Monét was nominated for two Grammys for her work on Grande’s song “7 Rings” and album “Thank U, Next.” Recently, she was nominated for a 2021 Grammy for co-writing Chloe X Halle’s “Do It.”
