Celebrities are sounding off on President Donald Trump’s second impeachment.
On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to impeach the 45th president for inciting a siege at the U.S. Capitol last week. At least five people died during the attack, including an officer and a protester who was shot.
Lawmakers — including all 222 Democrats and 10 Republicans — voted 232 to 197 to approve the single impeachment article. It is the first time any president has been impeached twice, and the most bipartisan vote to impeach.
"We know that the President of the United States incited this insurrection, this armed rebellion, against our common country," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said ahead of the vote. "He must go. He is a clear and present danger to the nation that we all love."
After the news broke, several members of the Hollywood community, including Chrissy Teigen and Cardi B, reacted on social media.
I didn’t even know you could be impeached twice. I thought it was like dying

The article of impeachment will head to the Senate when it reconvenes, where lawmakers must hold a trial on whether to convict Trump and remove him from office.
On Wednesday, outgoing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he has not made a decision on whether he will vote to convict the President at trial, an extraordinary admission.
Trump was first impeached in December 2019 after allegedly pressuring Ukraine to investigate the family of Joe Biden, who is now the President-elect. Biden will be sworn in Wednesday, January 20.
