Joe Biden has reportedly made a major change to the Oval Office following Donald Trump’s exit.
While posting photos of the 46th president on his first day in office, Times Radio chief political commentator Tom Newton Dunn said Biden removed a red button reportedly installed by Trump. Per reports, Trump would push the button, summoning a butler to bring him a Diet Coke on a silver platter.
“President Biden has removed the Diet Coke button. When @ShippersUnbound and I interviewed Donald Trump in 2019, we became fascinated by what the little red button did. Eventually Trump pressed it, and a butler swiftly brought in a Diet Coke on a silver platter. It’s gone now,” Dunn wrote.

Reports of Trump’s “Diet Coke button” have surfaced since 2017.
In April of that year, The Associated Press reporter Julie Pace wrote, “With the push of a red button placed on the Resolute Desk that presidents have used for decades, a White House butler soon arrived with a Coke for the president.”
Additionally, as reported by The Independent, former White House aide Chris Sims wrote about the button in his 2019 book “Team of Vipers.”
Apparently, Trump would prank visitors by hitting the button, which some thought had something to do with the U.S.’s collection of nuclear weapons.
“Out of nowhere, he’d suddenly press the button,” Sims wrote. “Not sure what to do, guests would look at one another with raised eyebrows. Moments later, a steward would enter the room carrying a glass filled with Diet Coke on a silver platter, and Trump would burst out laughing.”
Hours after being sworn in, Biden told his incoming White House staff that he will not tolerate disrespect or misconduct between colleagues.
“But I’m not joking when I say this: If you’re ever working with me, and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot. On the spot,” he said. “No if, ands, or buts.”
He continued, “Everybody, everybody is entitled to be treated with decency and dignity. That’s been missing in a big way the last four years.”
Biden added that his administration would be judged by how well it “restores the integrity and competency in this government.”
