South Korean actress Song Yoo-jung has died at 26.
Monday on Instagram, Sublime Artist Agency announced the tragic news, but did not disclose a cause of death.
Per The New York Times on Monday, Song was found dead Saturday in Seoul, South Korea.
At the age of 20, Song began her acting career and appeared in commercials for Estée Lauder skin care products and for the ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins.
In addition to acting in music videos, Song appeared in TV shows such as “Make a Wish” and “School 2017.”
Song was also an advocate for people with disabilities, serving as ambassador for a South Korean group called Warm Accompaniment.
Per a press release, Song lent her narration skills to a campaign entitled “Space Welfare Campaign for Renovation of Small Handicapped Facilities — The Joy of Space, Let’s Gift Together!” whose aim was to renovate old facilities.
“With an improved space for the type of disability, the lives of the disabled will change and create a warm world without disabilities,” she was quoted saying.
In their tribute, Song’s agency called her “a great actress who performed with passion.”
