Congratulations are in order for Halsey and Alev Aydin!
Wednesday on Instagram, the “Without Me” singer announced her pregnancy by posting a photo of her baby bump taken by photographer Sam Dameshek.
“Surprise!” the musician captioned the pic, tagging Aydin.
That same day, Us Weekly had confirmed that the songstress and the writer/producer were expecting their first child.
Halsey and Aydin have been linked since last October, where they were photographed carrying art supplies.
Prior to her relationship with the screenwriter, she was romantically linked to singer Yungblud, actor Evan Peters and rapper G-Eazy.
During an April 2018 appearance on “The Doctors,” Halsey opened up about freezing her eggs amid her struggles with endometriosis.
“Doing ovarian reserve is important for me, because I’m fortunate enough to have that as an option, and I need to be aggressive about protecting my fertility [and] about protecting myself,” she said.
“Reproductive illness is so frustrating because it can really make you feel like less of a woman. You don’t feel sexy, you don’t feel proud, and you don’t feel like there’s much hope, so taking these measures to make sure that I get to have a hopefully bright future and achieve the things that I want to achieve by doing the ovarian reserve is really important.”
In a July 2016 interview with Rolling Stone, she revealed that she suffered a miscarriage before a 2015 performance.
“I’m like, ‘I have to cancel this show!” she told the magazine. “And everyone’s kind of like, ‘Well, it’s Vevo LIFT, and it’s three million impressions, so…’ no one knew what do to. It’s the angriest performance that I’ve ever done in my life. That was the moment of my life where I thought to myself, ‘I don’t feel like a ------- human being anymore.’”
