Tiger Woods Injured in Rollover Car Crash

Tiger Woods undergoes surgery for injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash.

Per a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, on Tuesday morning, the golfer was involved in a rollover car crash on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes.

Reportedly, first responders had to extricate Woods from his vehicle with “jaws of life” tools.

Woods was reportedly the driver and the only occupant in the car. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

According to a video from Fox 5, Woods’ vehicle was seen on its side with the front end heavily damaged. It appears air bags were deployed.

On Tuesday, an LASD source told TMZ they do not believe alcohol was involved, but they did not say whether any other substance was possibly involved.

At 11:54 a.m. PST, Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg told the outlet his client sustained multiple leg injuries and is currently in surgery.

As of this writing, it is unclear what exactly caused the accident, which is currently under investigation.

Per TMZ, Woods was in the area for his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades.
