Katharine McPhee has given birth!
On Wednesday, a representative confirmed that the 36-year-old actress and the 71-year-old music producer welcomed their first child together, a baby boy.
“Katharine McPhee and David Foster have welcomed a healthy baby boy,” the spokesperson told the outlet. “Mom, Dad and son are all doing wonderfully.”
This is McPhee’s first child and Foster’s sixth. He is father to daughters Sara, 40, Erin, 38, and Jordan, 34, whom he shared with second wife Rebecca Dyer, and daughters Allison, 50, and Amy, 47, from previous relationships.
In October, sources confirmed McPhee’s pregnancy to People after the couple was spotted in Montecito, California, shopping for baby items.
The “Smash” star then appeared to address her baby news on Instagram Story saying she won’t be indulging in an Aperol Spritz “anytime soon.”
“I just came home and opened this gift from Aperol Spritz, which for those of you who don’t know ... is one of my favorite drinks and it reminds you of being in Capri,” she said on social media. “Thank you, Aperol Spritz. I won’t be drinking this anytime soon — wink, wink — but I’m very excited.”
The couple tied the knot June 2019 in London after they first met in 2006, when Foster mentored McPhee and other contestants on Season 5 of “American Idol.” McPhee later placed second behind Taylor Hicks.
Congratulations to Katharine and David on your new addition!
