Celebrity Hairstylist Jonathan Wright Arrested for Theft

Jonathan Wright, a hairstylist who has worked with celebrities such as Megan Thee Stallion and Tekashi 6ix9ine, has been arrested for theft.
On Tuesday, a source told The Shade Room that Wright was stopped by officers from the Dallas Police Department on Monday for a traffic violation.
Authorities then arrested Wright for an outstanding warrant dating back to last November.
Per legal documents obtained by The Shade Room, Wright was accused of felony theft for not returning a loaner vehicle to Mile High Exotic Motors in Houston.
Reportedly, Wright dropped off a leased Rolls-Royce at the dealership for maintenance and was given a Maserati as a loaner vehicle. When he returned to pick up the Rolls-Royce, a manager reportedly told him he was behind on payments and needed to settle the debt before he could get his car back.
Wright allegedly became “angry and began causing a disturbance” before he drove away in the loaner Maserati.
Another manager at the dealership reportedly said he sent Wright a letter demanding that the car be returned before deciding to press charges.
Per The Shade Room, Wright is currently behind held on $100,000 bond in Dallas County Jail.
After the story went viral, rapper Asian Doll, also known as Asian Da Brat, wrote a tweet in support of Wright.

In a May 2020 interview with Essence, Wright spoke out about his talents as a hairdresser.
“I just have this vision that makes [my clients] look so good,” he said. “I was a wardrobe stylist at first and then I turned to hair. For some reason I feel like I can do everything because when I have a vision for a person, I can just see what makes them just pop.”
He also revealed his aspirations to help up-and-coming stylists.
“I'm trying to open more academies all over for everybody to just learn my techniques, and come out with more products to just be in different states,” he added. “That's the next direction — being legendary and continuing to inspire people is the main goal.”
