Krispy Kreme is giving away a special treat to those who received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Monday on Instagram, the doughnut chain announced that customers — who had either at least one of two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or the single shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine — will receive one FREE Original Glazed doughnut after showing their vaccination card.

If one has not received or is not yet eligible for a vaccine, the offer will run through the end of 2021.

This deal — available at U.S. shops only — does not require an additional purchase. Additionally, vaccinated individuals can keep coming back to Krispy Kreme stores — anytime, any day, every day — through the remainder of 2021. They just need to show their vaccine card every time.

Per their website, vaccine stickers are not valid.

“We wanted it to be big enough to sort of catch people’s attention and spread awareness,” Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer Dave Skena told USA Today. “I think anything anyone can do to help show support for those getting the vaccine is a good thing right now and so we’re just trying to do what little we can.”

Per a press release, the company is supporting health care workers and volunteers by delivering free doughnuts to select vaccination centers throughout the country in the coming weeks.

Krispy Kreme is also giving employees up to four hours of paid time off to allow them to get vaccinated.

“We all want to get COVID-19 behind us as fast as possible and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them,” Skena said in the release.

According to its website, if one has made the personal decision not to receive the COVID vaccine, they can visit stores on Mondays — from March 29, 2021 to May 23, 2021 — to receive a free Original Glazed donut and a medium brewed coffee.
