Lil Yachty Defends Flying Commercial After Fan Films Him Sleeping on Plane

Lil Yachty ain’t got time for haters!

In a TikTok video that has been circulating online this week, a fan boards what appears to be a Delta flight and films the rapper sleeping in his seat.

“Caught Lil Yachty lacking,” the clip was captioned.

On Tuesday, the MC clapped back at the video and defended his decision to fly commercial.

“This is weird as ----,” the Atlanta artist says in his response video. “Why do y’all do this? Aight, am I trippin’? I know y’all think I be trippin’. I know y’all think I speak in cursive. Is this not weird? Is this not weird as ----? ‘Get on a private jet then.’ I was doing private jets at ------ 18, 19. Trust me, I can do a private jet, but why the ---- would I spend 10 times the money if I don’t have to? It’s crazy. What?” he explained.

Yachty also denies he was “lacking” and says he was sleeping because it was a morning flight.

“I was sleep. I was sleep. It was like seven in the morning. I only do morning flights, so I know it was like seven in the morning. I was sleeping. You didn’t catch me lacking. I was tired. You didn’t touch me. Nobody would touch me. I was not lacking. I was sleeping,” he said.

Earlier this week, the 23-year-old made headlines when he revealed on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast that his bills amount to $52,000 every month.

“Every month, I got $52,000 in bills,” he said. “Monthly, you know what I’m saying? And, I have to work... Let’s say I got $13 million in the bank, right? If my overhead is $52,000 every month ’cause of my houses, and my staff and cars and insurance and all these things I take care of and all these people, that $13 [million] will run down. Because that’s just the bills. I still like to live. I’m still a rapper. I still wanna go to nice dinners, fly my girl out, go to see my girl. We still wanna do all these things.”

He continued, “You have to be making money while you’re sleeping. Never just have one source of income. Even if it’s six figures… It’s so many things you could do to make that money double, triple while you sleep, while you snoring, while you working for the other job.”
