Get ready for a new bop, Rihanna fans!
Wednesday on Instagram, the “Work” singer celebrated her album “Anti” spending 5 years on the Billboard 200 — making her the first Black female artist to reach this milestone.
“grateful to the most High for putting die hard supporters in my circle #Anti #WomensHistoryMonth,” the musician captioned a video compilation.
“congrats to everyone that contributed to this era, thank you team.”
In the comments section, one fan suggested to Ri that she should celebrate this accomplishment by releasing a new song.
In response, the 33-year-old teased she may release a new track very soon!
“I think I should [soon],” she wrote back, adding, “Just 1 tho lol.”
In an October 2019 interview with Vogue, Rihanna said her upcoming album will be influenced by the reggae genre.
“It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae,” she told the magazine. “But you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks.”
When asked why specifically reggae, Rihanna responded, “Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or my environment that I grew up in; it never leaves.
“It’s always the same high. Even though I’ve explored other genres of music, it was time to go back to something that I haven’t really homed in on completely for a body of work.”
It’s gonna be lit, Real fam!
