A Tennessee woman opened fire at Burger King employees over the long wait time, says the Memphis Police Department.
As reported by Fox 13 last week, officials say a woman waiting in the drive-through line became angry about how long she was waiting for her food.
Authorities say the suspect got out of her car, walked up to the window, and started arguing with an employee.
As seen on surveillance video, the woman pulled out a black handgun from her car, leaned into the drive-through window, and began shooting.
Fortunately, police say none of the employees were hit as they fled through a back door.
Officials say the suspect got back in her car and sped off with a man behind the wheel.
In response to the incident, Burger King released a statement obtained by Fox 13.
“We do not tolerate or condone violence of any kind at our restaurants because the safety of our team members and guests is our top priority. Fortunately, no one in the restaurant was injured during this incident. The restaurant operator is fully cooperating with authorities on their ongoing investigation,” it read.
As of this writing, Memphis police are still looking for the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying her.
Anyone who recognizes the shooter or her car is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
Per Fox 13, any information leading to the shooter’s arrest could be worth up to $1,000.
