Months after they were spotted holding hands while he was still legally married, Larsa Pippen and Malik Beasley have broken up.
On Monday, Us Weekly reported that the former star of “The Real Housewives of Miami” and the Minnesota Timberwolves player have split.
One source told the outlet that the two “were friends first,” and are “still in communication.”
The insider explained that the pair spent Valentine’s Day together but have since parted ways.
“Larsa decided to distance herself from the drama. He was going through a lot and the timing wasn’t right,” the source said, adding, “Many people assumed it was serious when in fact it was not.”
According to IG account @wagsunfiltered in March, the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram and Pippen was spotted at a pool with another man.
Last December, numerous outlets posted November 2020 photos of Beasley and Pippen arm-in-arm at a Miami shopping area.
After the photos went viral, Beasley’s wife Montana Yao wrote on IG Story that she did not know about Beasley and Pippen’s outing until the scandalous photos circulated.
Days later, “E! News” reported that Yao, who shares son Makai with Beasley, filed for divorce.
During a February appearance on “Hollywood Unlocked with Jason Lee,” Pippen suggested that Beasley’s relationship with Yao was over before they started dating.
“They had issues before. It had nothing to do with me, so I wasn’t thinking anything about it,” she said. “If you spent a minute Googling their situation, it wasn’t the ideal situation, way before me.”
Last month, Yao was denied “temporary spousal maintenance” but was granted temporary child support in the amount of $6,500 per month.
That day, a filing revealed that Beasley questioned the paternity of their son and even took a test to see if he was Makai’s biological father.
According to Us Weekly, on April 2, Beasley was confirmed as Makai’s biological father.
