The notoriously private Michael B. Jordan is opening up about his public love life.
In an interview with People published Wednesday, the “Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse” star discussed what it was like to confirm his relationship with Lori Harvey earlier this year.
“I’m still private, and I want to protect that, but it just felt like it was a moment of just wanting to put it out there and move on,” he told the magazine. “I am extremely happy.”
He continued, “I think when you get older, you feel more comfortable about the [public nature] of the business that we’re in. So for me, it was a moment to, I guess, take ownership of that and then get back to work.”
Back in January, Jordan and Harvey confirmed their relationship by posting a number of Instagram photos — including one in which Jordan appears to kiss Harvey on the cheek.
News of Jordan and Harvey’s relationship first circulated during the Thanksgiving break after TMZ posted pics of the two exiting a Delta plane in Atlanta.
Prior to this, the two reportedly had dinner with a large group of friends at Nobu earlier in 2020.
This February, Jordan rented out an entire aquarium for their first Valentine’s Day together.
Days after this, Lori’s father Steve Harvey told Jimmy Kimmel that Jordan is a “nice guy” but joked that the actor — named People Magazine’s 2020 Sexiest Man Alive — “is not the sexiest man alive to me at all.”
During his “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” appearance, the 64-year-old TV host says he is the sexiest man alive, explaining, “All these people I’m paying for. Hell, if that ain’t sexy, what is?”
“I’ve never been attractive, I knew that. That’s why I had to come up with these damn jokes, but this kid — I like him,” Steve continued.
