Wendy Williams got into a heated back-and-forth with Joseline Hernandez on her very own talk show.
On Wednesday, the former star of “Love & Hip-Hop” appeared on “The Wendy Williams Show” to promote the latest season of her Zeus Network show, “Joseline’s Cabaret: Atlanta.”
However, things took a sharp left after Williams discussed Hernandez’s changing looks.
“You look different every time I see you,” Williams quipped.
That’s when Hernandez went on a rant against Williams, accusing the host of not giving enough respect to her and other women in “Black culture.”
“You know Miss Wendy, I just must say this to you: I hope you’re going to give me my flowers today. I hope you’re gonna honor how much work I put out there,” Hernandez began.
“I’m an accomplished woman and I just feel like every time I come to your show, you don’t give me those flowers now. You know? And Wendy, you’re 35 years my senior. I should get those flowers from you. I should feel wanted by people like you. And not just me, all the other young girls,” she continued.
“We feel like you be trying us. We feel like you don’t really be rooting for us, especially with me. Every time I come on your show, you always wanna compare me to another broad,” Hernandez explained.
“I don’t need to be compared; I’ve made my own brand. I’ve made my own brand for years. I’ve been out here for the past decade. I’ve got my own show, I franchised my own show to another network. I have the number one show in the country.”
That’s when Williams corrected Hernandez, saying, “No, you have the number one show on Zeus and you got renewed for a third season, which needs to be commended.”
Although Williams tried to change the subject by highlighting Hernandez’s footwear on the “Shoe Cam,” Hernandez continued her point that women should not be pitted against each other.
When Hernandez accused Williams of treating “Black, Spanish” girls differently, Williams gave Hernandez her “flowers” by literally throwing one at her screen.
“You should give me more flowers,” Hernandez said in response.
At one point, Williams asked her producers, “Do we just pull the plug? What is going on?”
Eventually, Hernandez did show off her shoes for the “Shoe Cam,” and stood up to flaunt her dress.
Hernandez also discussed her relationship with partner Ballistic Beats and said the two hope to get married soon “on national TV” and to have a child together.
However, Hernandez refused to talk about the father of her daughter, Stevie J, and his wife Faith Evans.
Towards the end of the tense sit-down, Williams and Hernandez appeared to come to an understanding.
“I have the number one show, and you can be number two,” Williams joked.
“Because I’m a respectful woman, you can have number one. You were here before me. I don’t want to take your spot. I just want to do what I do,” Hernandez replied.
