Rapper Lil Loaded Passes Away at 20

Texas rapper Lil Loaded, born Deshawn Robertson, has passed away at the age of 20.
On Tuesday, his attorney Ashkan Mehryari told multiple outlets including CNN, “Sadly, I can confirm Mr. Robertson passed away as a result of a reported suicide.”
When asked for comment by CNN, the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office did not yet have a cause or manner of death.
“He had a very bright and promising music career ahead of him,” Mehryari told the Dallas Morning News.
Last week, Robertson's 2019 song “6locc 6a6y” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Per court records, the rapper had a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday at 9 a.m. regarding his recent manslaughter charge. Police allege that Robertson fatally shot Khalil Walker, 18, in the torso with a rifle outside of a home in The Woods neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, on October 25, 2020.
After he turned himself in for murder last November, Robertson ultimately faced a lesser charge of manslaughter in March.
According to an alleged screenshot featuring what is believed to be Robertson's last IG Story before his death, he appears to ask for forgiveness regarding his past transgressions.
“Dear most high, Please forgive me for my shortcomings and all of the times I've fell short of making you proud and being appreciative of the blessings that have been put in my life sometimes the lines are blurred between being solid and being heartless I want to thank you for how far I've come and the people you've put in my life to keep me grounded and humble through everything and I love every single one of those people that are genuinely for me I ask for entrance into your kingdom thru all of my mistakes I know you love all of your children and I'm ready for my heart and soul to Join you,” the lengthy message read.

In a statement provided to outlets including XXL magazine and CNN, Mehryari says his client's court case “may have contributed to this tragic outcome” but believes that Robertson was “in a good place mentally.”
“While pending charges as serious as Mr. Robertson's can be exceedingly stressful, and it certainly may have contributed to this tragic outcome, I believe he was in a good place mentally with regard to the charges and our upcoming court date,” the statement said.
“We felt we had a strong defense to his charges. We were making strong progress against them, obtaining a reduced bond from the original $500,000.00 amount to $75,000.00, obtaining a lesser indictment for manslaughter, from the original charge of murder, and we were able to successfully petition the Court to strike house arrest as a condition of bond while he was awaiting trial,” the lawyer continued.
While posting his mug shot on IG last November, Robertson wrote a message where he appears to declare his innocence in the case.
“I appreciate all y'all support . They try to make u look guilty wen u innocent regardless .. we going to get pass this . Rip my brother love u,” he wrote at the time.
