Megan Thee Stallion Donates Over $8K to Late Fan’s Funeral Costs

Megan Thee Stallion has generously donated to the family of a fan who tragically passed away last week.
Recently, Twitter user @selenachichis tweeted at the “Body” rapper, revealing that their best friend, Shaniah Leigh Scales, died last week and was a fan of the MC.
“Meg we lost a hottie our best friend passed away unexpectedly,” @selenachichis tweeted. “They absolutely loved you, listening to ur songs was something we did every time we were together.”
Megan then responded back, “How much do y’all need,” before sharing a screenshot of her $8,155 GoFundMe donation — an amount that helped Scales’ family reach its $16K goal for funeral expenses.

After Megan made her donation, Scales’ friend expressed her gratitude to the hip-hop artist.
“I am crying so hard. I will ride for you until the day I die. I know our friend is up in heaven smiling so hard right now. I can’t believe this. Thank you for helping us and their family,” Scales’ friend, who has since made their Twitter profile private, wrote per People magazine.
Per the GoFundMe created by Phoenix Herrera, Scales passed away in her home on Thursday, June 10, and is survived by her mother and brother.
“If you knew Shaniah, you knew one of the purest hearts this world had to offer,” Herrera wrote. “They were always there to lend a helping hand or ear and be a source of support.”
Our condolences go out to Shaniah’s family and loved ones for their loss.
