Kim Kardashian Says She Owes Ex-Husband Kris Humphries an Apology

Kim Kardashian says her husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries, has rebuffed her attempts at an apology.
During part one of the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians: The Final Curtain” special that aired Thursday, the reality TV star opened about her brief 2011 marriage to the basketball player and the remorse she has for how she handled their divorce, finalized in 2013.
“I was so nervous to break up with someone,” the social media personality said. “I handled it totally the wrong way. I fully broke up with him in the worst way, and I couldn’t — I just didn’t know how to deal. I learned so much from it.”
While Kardashian says she has repeatedly tried to reach out to the athlete, she says he will not hear her out.
“I tried to,” she admitted. “I tried calling him for months.”
Kardashian also recalled a time when she ran into Humphries and his friends at the Beverly Hills Hotel while she was with daughter North, now 8, and pregnant with her son Saint, 5.
“I saw him and all of his friends got up from the table. We had the tables next to each other,” she said. “All of his friends got up and said hi to me and he just literally looked at me and, like, wouldn’t even speak to me.”
Prior to their televised wedding, Kardashian said she had “cold feet” but didn’t want to be labeled as a “runaway bride.” She also agreed that she felt some pressure to go forward with the marriage because of her hit E! show.
“I will say because I was pressured. I felt like I was going to let everyone down,” she said.
During the couple’s honeymoon in Italy, she knew she had “made the wrong decision.”
With regard to their split, Kardashian explained that “faith-based” Humphries claimed fraud in his divorce filing because he wanted an annulment that wouldn’t be “on his record.”
“If I was mature, I would have wanted the annulment too,” she said. “I wish I was only married once.”
Kardashian is currently divorcing third husband Kanye West, with whom she also shares daughter Chicago, 3, and son Psalm, 2.
When host Andy Cohen asked her, “If I asked you point blank, ‘Why did your marriage not work?’ what would you attribute it to?” Kardashian would not go into specifics.
However, she did say, “It was not like one specific thing that happened on either part.”
“I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And, like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn’t give it my all, or not really try,” she said. “You know, we have four kids. There’s nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more, than to see their parents together. I grew up and I lived that myself.”
Despite her and Kanye’s split, Kim says they have an “amazing co-parenting relationship.”
“I respect him so much and you know, that was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can’t see that going away,” she said. “I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan. He’s the father of my kids. Kanye will always be family.”
