40 Cows Escape Meatpacking Plant and Run Wild Through L.A.!

Around 40 cows escaped a meatpacking facility in Los Angeles and brazenly roamed the streets!
According to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 7:36 p.m. on Tuesday, officials received a call that nearly three dozen cows were running wild.
Officials say the animals were able to break free after a gate was accidentally left open.
About an hour later, the cows made their way to a residential neighborhood just over a mile from the facility.
Sadly, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed one of the cows who was accused of charging at a family of four, knocking some of them to the ground.
The family members were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
Ultimately, the LASD Mounted Enforcement Detail assisted in the recapture of the animals, who were then transported back to the plant.
Of the 40 cows who had escaped, 38 were safely captured. One cow is still on the loose.
Officials add that no other injuries were reported.
Wednesday morning, “Today” shared footage of the crazy scene:
