Dog the Bounty Hunter Has Remarried

Dog the Bounty Hunter has remarried following the tragic 2017 death of his wife Beth Chapman.
On Thursday, “Entertainment Tonight” confirmed that the bounty hunter, born Duane Chapman, married Francie Frane that day in Colorado.
Back in May of last year, it was revealed that the two got engaged — just 10 months after Beth passed away from complications related to her stage II throat cancer.
Similar to Dog, Francie lost her husband Bob to cancer months before Beth.
Though Dog previously told Us Weekly in August 2019 that he would never marry again after Beth’s death — “There will never be another Mrs. Dog” — he clarified to The Sun U.S. in March 2020, “There will never be another Mrs. Dog, but it looks like there will be a final Mrs. Chapman.”
However, Dog and Francie’s nuptials were marred by controversy.
Two weeks ago, TMZ reported that Bonnie, one of Dog and Beth’s daughters, was not invited to his wedding. They also reported that Cecily, Beth’s daughter with her first husband Keith Barmore, was also not extended an invite.
Bonnie later wrote a lengthy statement on Facebook, accusing her father of being racist and homophobic, as well as cheating on her mom “all the time.”
Additionally, Dog’s 2007 controversy — in which the National Enquirer released a phone call where Dog says the N-word multiple times — resurfaced. (Dog issued an apology at the time and his show “Dog the Bounty Hunter” was put on hiatus. The following year, production resumed.)
In response to Bonnie’s allegations and his use of racial slurs, Dog told “Entertainment Tonight” host Kevin Frazier, who is Black, that he has “never been a racist.”
When asked why he used the slurs, Dog said, “I thought I had a pass in the Black tribe to use it, kind of like Eminem,” explaining that he spent time with a “Black tribe” after being released from prison in 1979.
After Dog said, “To say a racist name doesn’t qualify to make you a racist,” Kevin replied, “If you use that word, if you use it in your regular everyday life, it makes you a racist.”
Dog also denied being homophobic, saying, “I have three men on my staff that are gay. My daughter is gay, Baby Lyssa. I don’t understand why anybody would ever say that.”
“Remember, proximity does not mean that you are not racist or homophobic,” Kevin brought up.
“Would I die for a gay man or a Black man? I would lay down my life,” Dog said in response.
Back in March, Dog’s potential show “Dog Unleashed” was dropped by Unleashed TV.
In a statement to “ET,” the network said they canceled the program after an investigation found that Dog “used racial and homophobic epithets to attack young African American kids who star with his daughter [Bonnie] in UTV’s ‘The System,’ a show that profiles police misconduct and follows protests against white supremacy in policing.”
After Dog and Kevin’s interviewed aired, “ET” said Bonnie called Kevin to apologize for her father’s comments, which had “disturbed” her.
