Tiffany Haddish Wants BF Common to Propose with an Apartment Building!

Tiffany Haddish doesn’t want a ring — she wants an entire apartment building!
While appearing on the “SmartLess” podcast on Monday, the “Girls Trip” star told hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett that if boyfriend Common were to propose to her, she doesn’t want your typical, run-of-the-mill diamond.
“We don’t live in the same house. I would love for him to always be my friend. If he decides he wants to marry me, cool. I don’t want a ring, I want an apartment building,” she declared.
However, the funny lady doesn’t want just any residential property.
She explained, “You know they present you with a ring. I want him to present me with the deed to a duplex or a 36-plex. Present me with an apartment building.”
When Bateman asked if the rapper knew about her request, Haddish said Common is “aware,” and said she was “crazy” for asking.
“I said, ‘No, I’m not crazy. I’m smart,’“ she said. “Because a marriage is a union of two businesses and the whole point of coming together is to grow yourselves, but also grow a family and make sure they have something to inherit.”
Haddish also noted that “an apartment building will increase in value” while a ring can get you “$2,000, $3,000? Maybe $10,000?”
“The children will always be able to go to school, we’ll always have something. If we get sick or something, we’ll have something to cash out and be able to take care of ourselves,” she said. “Come at me with a deed, baby, don’t come at me with a ring. Because if you’re trying to buy my life and change my last name to your last name, a ring ain’t gonna do it. We can get the ring after you can get the building.”
In August of last year, Haddish confirmed her relationship with the MC while appearing on Steve-O’s “Wild Ride” podcast.
While saying it is “hands down the best relationship I’ve ever been in,” she added, “Knowing that I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back — it seems like he does, anyways — and I love it. I love him.”
Months later in November, Common revealed on “The Karen Hunter Show” that the two were “doing wonderful.”
“She’s a really incredible human being, and, you know, the more I get to know her, I just see how dynamic she is as a person,” he said. “How intelligent, how selfless she is, how she stands up in Hollywood for Black women.”
“And ultimately... the one thing that I’ll say about anyone I’ve dated that you named, I like good-hearted people, and Tiffany has a wonderful heart at the end of the day.”
