THESE Track and Field Stars Just Got Engaged!

Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis have placed first in each other’s hearts!
Over the weekend, the two Team USA track and field stars announced their engagement by posting photos of their proposal during a romantic trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Davis — who placed sixth in the women’s long jump final at the 2021 Summer Olympics — wrote, “you’ve showed me the true meaning of life and now i get to spend the rest of my life with you. let me reintroduce myself as a FIANCÉ.”

As seen in the snaps, Woodhall proposed with an emerald-cut diamond engagement ring under a beautiful wooden altar on the beach, decorated with floral arrangements and macramé chandeliers.
On his page, Woodhall — who was born with fibular hemimelia and had both legs amputated as a baby — also posted sweet photos and wrote a touching letter to his future wife.
“I promise to always be there for you, I promise to always provide for you, I promise to always love you,” the athlete — who earned a bronze and silver medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, and another bronze at the recent Summer Paralympics in Tokyo — said on his page.
“You make me a better person and I can’t imagine a life without you. Thank you for trusting, supporting, and loving me the last 5 years. here’s to the rest of our lives,” he added.

Last month, Davis told People, “It was my dream,” for Woodhall to appear in his second Paralympics.
“That’s my dream. And to experience at a time and be a couple that are Olympians is just insane,” she continued.
Woodhall also told the outlet, “It means everything,” to be able to represent his country at the competition.
“I think literally representing the United States especially in an Olympic or Paralympic Games is the pinnacle of our sport. It does not get any better than that,” he said. “I have so much pride competing for this country. And I think it gives us an ability to show who we are, show what we represent, which I hope in turn would reflect what we see this country to be.”
Congratulations to Hunter and Tara on your engagement!
