Woman Who Was 9 Months Pregnant Found Dead in Florida Park

A woman who was nine months pregnant was found dead in a Florida park just days before her due date.
Per the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday at around 6:30 a.m., an individual called 911 after finding an unresponsive female inside Riverview Park.
Officers located the woman, later identified by family as 21-year-old Felicia Jones, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Per First Coast News, Felicia was nine months pregnant with a son and was due October 8.
Following an initial investigation, authorities have labeled the incident as a “suspicious death with foul play suspected.”
In an interview with First Coast News, Felicia’s aunt Angelica Williams urged the community to “come together on this. We can’t let this go.”
“This is a whole unborn baby ready to be born in two weeks. A beautiful young lady who just turned 21 this month,” Angelica told the outlet, adding, “We want to let the world know that she was loved. Her baby was expected. We wanted this baby. I was super excited about my nephew. All of that has been taken away from us. We’re distraught right now.”
Angelica continued, “Felicia, better known as Fee Fee, she was a beautiful person inside and out. She had that bubbly spirit. Even if she was going through something, you wouldn’t be able to tell because she was that type of person where she had a lot of strength. She was super excited about being a first-time mom.”
Police did not say what led investigators to suspect foul play.
On Sunday, Angelica created a GoFundMe page to pay for funeral costs for Felicia and her unborn son. As of this writing, the page has raised over $10K out of its $15K goal.
