Angelina Jolie & Daughter Zahara Stun in Rare Red Carpet Appearance!

Zahara Jolie-Pitt is following in her mother’s footsteps to become the next breakout red carpet star!
Wednesday night at Variety’s Power of Women event, Angelina Jolie — wearing a billowing brown gown — posed with her 16-year-old, dressed in an all-white look comprised of a sweater, pants, an oversized belt, and sneakers.
While smiling for photographers, Zahara was seen affectionately wrapping her arm around her mother’s waist while Angelina kept her arm over her daughter's shoulders.
At the gala, Angelina gave an impassioned speech honoring Amanda Gorman, who made headlines after she read her poem “The Hill We Climb” at the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in January.
"The young woman of grace, who stepped fearlessly to the podium on Inauguration Day. Not just the youngest but the strongest voice we could ask for in that moment,” Angelina said about Amanda. “The Amanda we see today might seem as if she leapt into our times, fully formed, to summon our better angels. But there was an Amanda we didn't see.”
While discussing Amanda’s youth, in which the poet turned to journaling as a way to deal with a speech impediment and an auditory processing disorder, Angelina continued, “As well as celebrating your extraordinary achievements, Amanda, we honor 7-year-old you and every other girl who feels she is an outsider, alone, when she is simply coming into her own.”
"Those who have the power of free speech — the weapon of free speech — must combine to defend those who do not. We need voices like Amanda's, those lights in the dark," the actress concluded. "Amanda, may you burn fiercely and light the way for others."
Back in July 2020, Angelina sat down for a TIME 100 Talk interview with Ugandan climate activist Vanessa Nakate, in which she praised Zahara as "an extraordinary African woman."
"My daughter is from Ethiopia, one of my children… And I have learned so much from her,” Jolie said. “She is my family, but she is an extraordinary African woman and her connection to her country, her continent, is her own and it’s something I only stand back in awe of.
Jolie also shares children Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne, with ex Brad Pitt.
In addition to Angelina, Zahara, and Amanda, our very own Loni Love and Garcelle Beauvais attended the event, where they rubbed shoulders with fellow celebs including Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, and Tia Mowry — the twin sister of our former co-host Tamera Mowry Housley!
