Halle Berry Shares Rare Photo of 8-Year-Old Son Maceo!

We can’t believe Maceo Martinez is already 8 years old!
This week on Instagram, Halle Berry celebrated her son’s birthday by posting a rare photo of him on her feed.
In the adorable snap, Maceo rocks what appears to be a scarecrow costume with camouflage print shorts, a moss green hat, and striped socks.
“this little dude is 8 today! Happy Birthday THUNDER!,” the “Monster’s Ball” actress captioned the sweet pic.

Halle, who shares Maceo with ex-husband Olivier Martinez, is also mom to 13-year-old daughter Nahla, whom she shares with ex Gabriel Aubry.
Speaking of Nahla, in March of this year, Halle shared an adorable photo of her and her daughter in honor of Nahla’s 13th birthday!
“No matter how many times I tell her I love her, I love her more than that. Happy 13th Birthday Nahla Boo,” Halle wrote on social media.

In a 2019 interview with “Today,” Halle revealed why she is selective about sharing photos of her children on the Internet.
“I just don’t want to plaster them all over the Internet. That just doesn’t feel right for me,” she explained. “They’re gonna do that soon enough. That’s gonna be their life when they grow up, and they will choose when that starts.
“I’ve fought really hard to protect their privacy, and I just want them to have their life and have it be theirs,” she added.
At a virtual panel hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association as part of the Sundance Film Festival in January of this year, Halle noted the importance of teaching her son to denounce sexism in society.
“I have a 7-year-old son, and I have realized what my job is in raising him. If we want to have a future that’s different, that is where it starts,” she said at the time.
“I’ve had to really break that down for him and give him a new perspective and challenge those thoughts and ask him to identify where that comes from, and if he believes that or not and challenge what he’s subconsciously getting from somewhere,” she added to co-panelist and actress Robin Wright.
“I can tell that because we’re having those conversations he is going to grow as a deep thinker on the subject. He’s going to be determined not to just accept it. I keep challenging him all the time, like, ‘Well, why is that a ‘girl color’?’”
