Chlöe Bailey Reveals How She Feels About Those Beyoncé Comparisons!

Turns out, being compared to Beyoncé isn’t so bad!
On Friday, Chlöe Bailey stopped by “The Breakfast Club” where host Charlamagne Tha God brought up her relationship with Beyoncé — who in 2015 signed her and sister Halle Bailey to her management company, Parkwood Entertainment.
“I love her so much. We talk about any and everything. I’m just so grateful to have her stamp of approval. She always gives me words of encouragement. You have no idea how much that means to me,” the “Have Mercy” singer said about her mentor.
“What she kinda says, it’s like, okay, that’s pretty dope, because she’s been there. To know that the advice that she’s giving me is exactly from the place I’m in is pretty cool and inspiring,” she continued.
When asked how she feels about being compared to Bey, Chlöe responded, “I’m grateful! That’s the biggest compliment anyone could possibly give me! I have so much more work to do to even get there, to even get an ounce of where she is, so it’s a huge compliment for sure.”
Though Chlöe admits she and Bey don’t “specifically talk about” whether she feeds into those comparisons or not, Chlöe says Bey has always been a champion of her work.
“She says she’s really proud of me,” Chlöe said, adding, “I just love her, and I’m happy that she sees this light inside of me, and my sister as well.”

In March of this year, Bey’s father Mathew Knowles made headlines when he said it was “insulting” to compare his daughter to Chlöe.
“You’ve got to be kidding me, right? You’re asking me that question? Are you actually serious that you are comparing that young lady to Beyoncé?” he told radio personality Leah A. Henry on “Leah’s Lemonade.”
When Leah clarified, saying fans think Chlöe should play Bey in a biopic, Mathew continued, “Okay, you’re talking about if somebody was doing a movie, not talent-wise. Talent-wise? Are you telling me talent-wise, somebody is an idiot enough to compare her to Beyoncé, talent-wise?”
After Leah said, “They say she’s literally like a young Beyoncé in the making,” Mathew replied, “I’m asking you a yes or no question. Are you telling me someone’s an idiot enough to compare her to Beyoncé, talent-wise?”
He added, “Are there people saying her talent is equal to Beyoncé? They’re an idiot. Period.”
Earlier this month, Chlöe appeared on our show to discuss her solo career, her relationship status, AND the best advice that Bey gave her!
