Lori Loughlin to Pay for Two College Tuitions Following Admissions Scandal

Months after she was released from prison, Lori Loughlin is paying it forward.
This week, Us Weekly reported that the “Full House” actress — who, along with husband Mossimo Giannulli, served jail time for paying bribes to get daughters Olivia and Isabella into the University of Southern California — will be paying tuition for two unnamed college students.
People magazine later confirmed the news but noted that the details of this arrangement are unclear.
Reportedly, Lori will pay more than $500,000 for the students’ education — the same amount that she and Mossimo paid Rick Singer and Key Worldwide Foundation to get her daughters into USC as crew recruits, despite never having participated in the sport.
The source added to Us Weekly that Loughlin is looking to “put the past behind her.”
“She has served her time in jail and completed her probation, community service and paid all of her court fines,” the insider said.
Lori was sentenced to two months in prison and was ordered to pay a $150,000 fine and perform 100 hours of community service. Mossimo was sentenced to serve five months in jail, pay a $250,000 fine, and perform 250 hours of community service.
While People reported that Lori has completed her community service hours, as of May, Mossimo was still “actively working on completing his community service requirement.”
One of the ways in which Lori is moving on from the scandal is by returning to acting.
Last month, it was announced that she will reprise her “When Calls the Heart” character Abigail Stanton on the second season of its spinoff series, “When Hope Calls.”
People confirmed that she will guest star in the two-part premiere, debuting December 18 on GAC Family (formerly Great American Country).
Meanwhile, daughter Olivia is currently competing on Season 30 of “Dancing with the Stars” with partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
Earlier this month, Olivia told Us Weekly about the support she has received from her mother.
“Literally right after we got off the stage, I called her! She’s the biggest support ever. She’s really proud of me and I love her so much,” the social media influencer said. “She’s, like, my hero. So it’s really nice to know she’s watching, and she’s really proud… Mama bear! She’s excited.”
