Influencer Nenobia Washington Passes Away After Suspected Fall from Apartment

Nenobia Washington, a social media influencer affectionately known as “The Queen of Brooklyn” as well as BK Tidal Wave on Instagram, has passed away at the age of 38.
In a statement from New York Police Department spokesperson and detective Annette Shelton obtained by People, police officers responded to a building in Hamilton Heights, Manhattan, around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday.
Shelton says, “Upon arrival, a 38-year-old female was discovered unconscious and unresponsive in front of the location.”
After the woman, later identified as Washington, was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, she was pronounced deceased.
A source told TMZ on Wednesday that based on a preliminary investigation, Washington’s injuries appear to indicate that she fell from an elevated position. The insider added that it is believed that she intentionally jumped from six stories up.
David Jackson, the father of Washington’s son, also told TMZ that he was told she reportedly fell from a window.
However, the investigation is ongoing and a cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner. Additionally, TMZ notes that family members have received varying accounts from people who claimed to have witnessed the incident.
While there are reports that Washington reportedly went missing before her death, Jackson told TMZ that she talked to their son, Tyeleck, the night before the event and that she was never missing.
On Tuesday, Jackson created a GoFundMe to raise funds for Washington’s funeral.
“Nenobia brought laughter and tears. She was loved by many, so we are going to make [her service] as nice as we can for her,” he wrote.
After the page surpassed its $30K goal, Jackson announced that there will be a celebration of life event for Washington in Brooklyn. He also noted that any outstanding amounts will go to their son.
Washington is best known for a 2015 interview she did with HotNewHipHop where she praised New York rappers, Lil’ Kim and JAY-Z.
When asked if she was aware of JAY-Z’s streaming service TIDAL, she replied, “That’s my ----. I ----- with JAY-Z.”
“JAY-Z earned all his money. JAY-Z is not Illuminati. You hating --- ------ that’s hating on JAY, If he wants to be Illuminati, let him, but JAY-Z is a real -----,” she added.
On Sunday, the Twitter account for TIDAL paid tribute to Washington, writing:
