Former NFL Player Zac Stacy Seen on Video Attacking Ex-Girlfriend in Front of Son

UPDATE! According to TMZ, Zac Stacy was arrested shortly after flying into Florida from Tennessee on Thursday night. Authorities say Stacy flew to Orlando, Florida, "with the intention of turning himself in.” He was taken into custody without incident and is currently in jail.
Former NFL player Zac Stacy is reportedly on the run after a video was published showing him attacking his ex-girlfriend near the couple’s 5-month-old son.
On Thursday, TMZ posted the shocking clip, reportedly shot at the victim’s Florida house on Saturday, which shows the running back punching the mother of his child in the head before slamming her into a television while their infant son sat feet away.
After the TV falls on top of the woman, she tries to calm him down, but he throws an object at her and storms into a corner.
Amid the attack, the woman begs Stacy to stop.
The outlet reports that prior to the attack, Stacy reportedly became “furious and aggressive” with his ex during an argument.
TMZ reports that the victim called authorities immediately after the altercation, but Stacy fled the scene before officials arrived.
The woman went to the hospital, where she was treated for a possible head wound, as well as bumps and bruises.
The outlet says the woman also filed a restraining order on Monday, protecting her and her son.
In the legal papers, the victim says Stacy came over to her house around 2 p.m. on Saturday to see his son.
“He punched me several times in the head! I begged him to stop because the baby was on the couch just a few feet from where he punched me,” she wrote in her restraining order application.
“He then picked me up and threw me into my TV. The TV began to fall and he turned to make sure I wasn’t getting up. As I laid on the floor he began to yell at me, telling me I’m destructive. He then picked me up off the floor and off my feet and body slammed me into our son’s bouncy seat.”
Following this, Stacy reportedly said “I love you” to their child and left.
“I fear for my life and my children’s lives,” the victim added.
On Thursday, the Oakland Police Department said cops immediately launched a manhunt for Stacy following the event but say they have yet to locate him.
“Efforts are underway to capture Stacy,” a spokesperson told TMZ. “And we would urge him to turn himself in and face the criminal charges.”
That same day, the victim went on social media and urged anybody with information about Stacy’s whereabouts to come forward.
“I don’t know why his friends are hiding him,” she said in her video message. “If you see him — he drives a white Kia Optima, a 2020, I believe, or a 2021.”
“Please, again, if you see him or you know of any location that he might be, please turn him in or call your local authorities.”
Stacy — who has played for the St. Louis Rams and the New York Jets — has since been dropped from his role as a youth football ambassador for this year’s Music City Bowl. According to reports by TMZ Sports, Stacy is now facing two felony charges: aggravated battery and criminal mischief.
