Ohio Customer Surprises Evicted Dunkin’ Employee with Fully Furnished House!

A beloved Dunkin’ employee in Ohio received the ultimate gift this holiday season!
As reported by WCPO, loyal Dunkin’ customer Suzanne Burke met staffer Ebony Johnson three years ago when Johnson worked the drive-thru at the coffee and doughnut eatery.
The two soon developed a friendship and spoke every time Burke got her morning coffee.
“I go every morning,” Burke said. “Ebony has worked the drive-thru for three years and really has provided amazing customer service.”
Recently, however, Burke noticed that Johnson was absent from her shift, causing her to become concerned.
When she reached out to Johnson, Burke learned that the mother of three had fallen on hard times and had been evicted from her Mount Healthy home.
That’s when Burke and a couple of different organizations joined forces to give Johnson a fully furnished home for her and her family!
“I just wanted to see if I could help her just improve her life and the life for her kids,” Burke said. “I wanted to make sure that they had stable housing so that she could continue to provide the excellent service she does at Dunkin’.”
As seen in a clip shot by WCPO on Friday, Johnson was visibly emotional when seeing her home for the first time.
“Thank y’all so much. Thank you so much for helping me,” Johnson said.
In addition to partnering with staging designer Jo Potvin of Design to Market, Johnson received assistance from New Life Furniture Bank, an organization that accepts household items and makes them available at no charge to those in need.
“It’s as much a gift for us as it is for them, to be able to provide this for them,” Dana Saxton, executive director of New Life Furniture Bank, told WCPO.
“I’m just so thankful we’re back in our home,” Johnson added. “The Lord really looked out for me because I kept praying and saying, ‘Could I be at home before Christmas?’”
