‘Days of Our Lives’ Actress Rhonda Stubbins White Passes Away at 60

Rhonda Stubbins White, a celebrated actress known for her roles in televisions shows such as “Days of Our Lives” and “Shameless,” has passed away at age 60.
On Thursday, White’s manager confirmed to People that she died Monday from cancer.
A day earlier, friend Todd Baker also announced her death on White’s official Facebook page.
“It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear friend Rhonda Stubbins White,” Baker wrote. “She was an amazingly talented woman, full of positivity and energy, and grounded by her faith. We were all fortunate to have known her and shared her short time on this earth.”
Baker later specified to The Daily Mail that White passed away from ovarian cancer.
In the early ’90s, White gained nationwide attention when she starred on the NBC series “Here and Now,” and earned a CableACE nomination for her role in the 1993 HBO miniseries “Laurel Avenue.”
White went on to appear in acclaimed dramas including “NYPD Blue,” “Touched by an Angel,” “Chicago Hope,” and “ER.”
In 2000, White landed a recurring role on the iconic soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” playing the character of Lady Vi.
Recently, she portrayed the character of Agnes on Tyler Perry’s “Ruthless” for the past two years.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, White is survived by her siblings, Gregory and Annette.
