Music Producer Flow La Movie & Family Killed in Florida-Bound Jet Crash

Flow La Movie and eight other passengers — including the music producer’s partner and their 4-year-old son — were killed in a private jet crash in the Dominican Republic.
In a statement posted Wednesday, aviation company Helidosa confirmed the tragedy, noting that the musician, born José Ángel Hernández, died along with his partner of seven years, Debbie Von Marie Jiménez Garcia, 31, and their 4-year-old son Jayden Hernandez. While People lists José’s age as 36, Associated Press reports it as 38.
The other passengers, all U.S. nationals, have been identified as Kellyan Hernández Pena, 21, and two teenagers aged 18 and 13, whose relationship to José and Debbie have not been confirmed.
Veronica Estrella, 26 — who was identified as a crew member on the manifest but as a passenger by the plane's operator — was also killed.
The two crew members who were killed are Luis Alberto Eljuri Tancredo, 47, and Emilio Herrera, 32, both Dominican residents.

Per flight records obtained by People, the Gulfstream IV jet en route to Florida took off from the Dominican Republic but attempted to make an emergency landing.
Though People says the jet took off from Isabela International Airport, ABC7 said the plane had departed from El Higüero airport.
The jet ultimately crashed at the nearby Las Americas International Airport just 15 minutes after takeoff.
"This accident causes us great pain and grief. We ask that you prudently join in solidarity to support the families affected who, along with us, are going through this difficult time," Helidosa said in their statement.
The exact cause of the crash or the emergency landing is not yet known.
Helidosa said they are working with officials, including the civil aviation board, to determine the cause.
José, known for his song "Te Boté" featuring Bad Bunny, Nicky Jam and Ozuna, also produced "La Jeepeta" by Nio Garcia, Brray and Juanka and "Wow Remix," featuring Bryant Myers, Arcangel, Nicky Jam, El Alfa and Darell.
Under his own record label, José signed several artists of his own, including Nio Garcia, Casper Magico, D.OZi and Xound.
Our condolences go out to everyone affected by this senseless tragedy.
