Lamar Odom Responds to Tristan Thompson’s Apology to Khloé Kardashian After Paternity Test

Lamar Odom has reportedly spoken out after Tristan Thompson confirmed that he fathered a child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols while still dating Khloé Kardashian.
In a series of Instagram Stories posted Monday night, the Sacramento Kings player said that a paternity test revealed he is the father of the child, who was born on December 1.
In his message, the NBA star says he “[looks] forward to amicably raising” the child with Nichols.
"Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately," he wrote.
He also issued a public apology to Kardashian — his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his daughter True, 3, whom he was still dating when his and Nichols’ baby was reportedly conceived.
"Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you," he said.
"You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."

After the news went viral, numerous outlets including “E! News” and The Shade Room reported that Odom, who was married to Kardashian from 2009 to 2016, issued a statement while responding to a post about the event from the Facebook page “Sleepless in Seattle.”
"I truly wish nothing but the best for her and I'm hoping we can reconnect and talk one day as friends," Odom reportedly wrote, adding, "she is a good person and deserves the world."

On Tuesday, a representative for Nichols released a statement to various outlets, including TMZ and People, about the paternity test.
"There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichols’ baby,” the spokesperson said. "Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements.”
News of Nichols’ pregnancy first emerged last month after The Daily Mail obtained legal documents that laid out Nichols’ child support lawsuit against Thompson.
In the papers, it was reported that Nichols’ baby was conceived in Houston during Thompson’s 30th birthday celebrations in March — when Thompson was still in a relationship with Kardashian.
Weeks later, it was revealed in new court documents that Thompson arranged hook-ups with Nichols through his Snapchat handle “blkjesus00.”
After meeting at “someone’s house” in late November or early December 2020, Thompson said he and Nichols had “sexual relations in March 2021 and at no other time in 2021” and does not recall having “sexual intercourse with [Nichols] in California” at any date.
Thompson also has a 4-year-old son, Prince Thompson, with ex Jordan Craig.
