Pennsylvania Mom Who Lost Son to Drowning Fatally Shot Along with 13-Year-Old Son

Just months after losing her grade-school son to a drowning, a Pennsylvania mother was shot along with her other son.
As reported by WTAE-TV on Monday, a shooting occurred at a house in the 7500 block of Hamilton Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Homewood South neighborhood around 4 a.m. on Friday.
When police arrived at the scene, they first found a woman who had been shot in the head. While searching the house, SWAT officers found the two other victims. Medics pronounced all three dead at the scene.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the three victims as Nandi Fitzgerald, 28, her son Denzel Nolan Jr., 13, and Tatiana Hill, 28.
As of this writing, police are still investigating, and details of any possible suspects have not been released.
In a GoFundMe created over the weekend by family member Taneisha Reed, Taneisha revealed that months ago, Nandi lost her 6-year-old son, Norez, to a drowning.
As reported by People, in a GoFundMe at the time, Nandi wrote that while taking her family on a birthday trip to Hershey Park last June, Norez drowned while playing in their hotel pool.
“We played all sorts of pool games,” Nandi wrote at the time. “We were all getting out of the pool and I turned my back and my 6-year-old baby was drowning.”
She added, “I tried everything I could do to save my baby, but God had other plans. I’ll never be the same after what I witnessed.”
In Taneisha’s GoFundMe, which has since raised over $10,000, she remembers Nandi as “an amazing mom who loved her boys more than anything.”
“She was an amazing daughter, sister and friend. Her smile was priceless.”
Taneisha adds that Nandi leaves behind a 6-year-old son and a 1-year-old son who are now “without their mom and big brother.”
“This year has been absolutely devastating for our family. Please help! If you have any donations, please send a message below and someone from our family will reach to coordinate picking things up,” Taneisha continued. “Also if you have any tips or leads on this senseless murder please reach out to police, any tips no matter how big or small!”
Our condolences go out to the victims of this senseless tragedy.
