Trey Songz Accused of Rape by Former UNLV Basketball Player

A former University of Nevada, Las Vegas, basketball player is accusing Trey Songz of rape at a “well-known” hotel, an allegation that he denies.
Tuesday on social media, Dylan Gonzalez, who formerly played for the UNLV Rebels, released a statement saying she has suffered post-traumatic stress disorder after allegedly being sexually assaulted by the singer.
“With what seems like endlessly reoccurring news of the alleged sexual assaults committed by Trey Songz, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind, and suffer anew, the long-suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well known Las Vegas hotel,” the statement read, potentially referencing a separate sexual assault claim last November allegedly involving Trey at The Cosmopolitan in Vegas.
“I want to send my love, strength, and hope to all who are victims of sexual assault and its fatal nature. You are not alone,” the athlete continued.
While requesting her privacy, Gonzalez said all inquiries and questions should be directed to her lawyer George Vrabeck on Twitter and Instagram.

That same day, a source close to Dylan told TMZ that the alleged incident happened several years ago, and that she and her lawyer plan on filing a civil suit. They did not mention, however, filing a police report or criminal charges.
Additionally, a representative for the musician released a statement to the outlet denying the allegations.
“Trey and his team are confident in the legal process and that there will be an abundance of exonerating information to come over the next few weeks,” it read.
People magazine adds that Vrabeck and fellow lawyer Ariel Mitchell are also representing Jahaura Jeffries, who alleges that Trey sexually assaulted her at a nightclub in Miami in 2018. Per the outlet, the singer has not addressed these allegations.
With regard to Trey’s other Vegas accusation, TMZ reported in November that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has looked into the claims.
Reportedly, Trey was in town to celebrate his 37th birthday at Drai’s Nightclub. An insider at the Cosmo told TMZ that Trey and his entourage reportedly brought a group of women back to the hotel from the club.
A source also told the outlet that Trey is cooperating with the investigation. No arrests have been made.
