Jason Momoa & Lisa Bonet to Divorce!

After five years of marriage and nearly two decades together, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have announced their split.
In a joint statement posted to Instagram on Wednesday, the couple announced that they “are parting ways in marriage” after tying the knot in October 2017.
“We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy, but so that as we go about our lives, we may do so with dignity and honesty,” the statement continued. “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become…”
They concluded, “Our devotion [is] unwavering to this sacred life [and to] our children. Teaching our children what’s possible. Living the Prayer. May Love Prevail. J & L.”

Per People, the two actors began dating in 2005 after being introduced by mutual friends at a jazz club.
During a 2017 interview with James Corden, the “Aquaman” star recounted his and Bonet’s first meeting, saying, “We just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I actually had dreaded my hair for her. I had dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks. I literally turned around and I see her and she goes, ‘I’m Lisa.’ “
He continued, “I turned around to my friend and I [pretended to scream]. I had ------- fireworks going off inside, man. I convinced her to take me home, because I was living in a hotel.”
The pair had their first child, Lola, in July 2007 and welcomed their second child, Nakoa-Wolf, in December 2008. Bonet is also mom to Zoë Kravitz, 33, whom she shares with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.
As reported by People on Thursday, the two had not been photographed together in public for nearly two years.
In fact, they made their last red-carpet appearance in February 2020 at the Tom Ford AW20 Show at Milk Studios in Hollywood.
At the “No Time to Die” premiere in September 2021, Momoa walked the carpet with his son and daughter. At the recent “Dune” premiere in October 2021, he walked the red carpet by himself.
While speaking to fellow actress Marissa Tomei for Interview magazine last month, the former star of “The Cosby Show” spoke about “learning how to be authentically me.”
“Definitely learning how to be authentically me, learning to be new, and following this invitation from the universe to step into this river of uncertainty. We’ve eliminated all this extra noise, and now it’s time to grow our roots deeper into our own values,” Bonet said when Tomei asked “what’s calling” her.
