Brawl Breaks Out at Pennsylvania Golden Corral, Reportedly Over Steak!

A massive fight involving about 40 people broke out Friday at a Golden Corral in Pennsylvania, reportedly over the restaurant’s steak shortage.
In a video circulating around social media, customers are seen throwing punches, tables, and chairs at one another in the dining area of the Bensalem buffet.

While police say via CBS Philly that the brawl happened following an argument among some customers, former employee Dylan Becker said he was told by a current staffer that the altercation began after the restaurant ran out of steak.
“From what I heard, it was over steak. Apparently somebody cut in line,” Becker told CBS Philly, adding, “I’ve never seen nothing like that in Golden Corral before.”
Friend Gaven Lauletta told the outlet he heard the same thing, adding, “There was a shortage of steak and two parties were involved and one family cut in front of another family. They were taking their time and they ran out of steak and it got into a heated exchange at the tables.”
As CBS Philly notes, in the video, a man is heard saying, “All I wanted was some steak.”
Per KYM, Becker says his friend, the current Golden Corral employee, was hit by a table during the incident.
“My friend, she’s in the video trying to break it up, and she told me she got hit by a table and her ankle got bruised up pretty bad. And yeah, it’s scary stuff,” he said.
In response to the controversy, JK Hospitality LLC, the Golden Corral franchisee, wrote in a statement, “Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported. The safety of our guests and co-workers is our top priority.”
While police are still trying to determine who caused the fight, the suspect or suspects could face several charges, including simple assault.
